This woman can do it all, she rocks with angst (I Don’t Care), gets into an 80’s British pop like rhythm and blues groove (Ancient History), and sounds like a soul sister (i.e. Aretha Franklin) on the live cut from the Lizard Lounge “Maybe I’m A Fool.”
I truly respect any vocalist that is not afraid to travel all over the musical map with their pipes, and this woman really covers some ground on this album. This quality material should not be missed by anyone who appreciates good musicianship and honest hardworking vocals from the heart.
